How does it work?
VPN Authority provides an encrypted tunneling solution between your computer and our relay servers in the US and various hubs in Europe. As a user, you use the Internet normally, except that your data is encrypted en route and the outside world only sees our IP address. It's as if you're surfing the web from an outside country --- with freedom and security. This also allows you to view websites you normally cannot such as facebook, YouTube, twitter, pandora, BBC iPlayer and hulu.

Who typically uses a VPN?
Many commercial and residential users utilize VPN Authority in order to protect their online safety such as transferring and downloading documents as well as accessing password-protected sites.  Many companies use VPNs for secure inter-office communications and remote employee access.

I can't access US or UK sites!
Don't worry - make sure you are connecting to the UK server (eu6.vpnauthority.com) for UK sites and the US server (us4.vpnauthority.com) for US sites.  It's easy!  When connecting with the VPN Authority Installer, select 'Properties' and use the 'VPN Destination' drop-down to select UK or US.

Will VPN Authority slow down my system?
No, it won't slow down your system, though Internet browsing speeds will depend on which website you're accessing. Foreign websites will generally be faster, whereas local websites (those hosted in your country) may be slightly slower. Give it a FREE try by signing up for our TRIAL account. If you are finding the internet slow, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER and ROUTER!

I can't see any servers using your installer?
Make sure you extract the vpnauth.exe from the zip file before opening it.  Otherwise, the list of servers will come up blank.

Can I use your VPN to replace my ISP?
No. VPN Authority works together with your existing Internet connection to make it better and more secure, but it does not replace your ISP.

Will VPN Authority work with my computer's operating system?
VPN Authority works with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS, iPhone, iPad and Android.

If you use Windows Vista, you will need administrator access to the computer. Most individual users have this, though some corporate users may not. If you run into any problems during setup, just email us and we'll switch your account to a different protocol that doesn't require administrator access. In other words: we'll make it work, no worries.

How much does it cost?
VPN Authority is priced from USD $5.30 per month.  There are no other services which can match our cost, speed, and flexibility.

Can I use VPN Authority on more than one computer?
Yes, you can configure VPN Authority on as many computers as you like, though only one of them can be connected to the VPN at a time. If you'd like more than one to be using the VPN simultaneously, you should get an additional account. We suggest you try it out first, then get more accounts as needed.
